H.H. MAHARAJA MADHAVRAO SCINDIA II GALLERY

This gallery is dedicated to our sincere and beloved, Late H.H Maharaja Madhavrao Scindia II (10 March 1945 – 30 September 2001). He is credited with the modernization and computerization of the Railways and with maintaining the most cordial and professional relationship with his managerial cadres. During the office of P.V. Narasimha Rao, Late Maharaja Madhavrao Scindia was appointed the Minister for Civil Aviation. Under his leadership the sector witnessed impeccable growth. Democracy was a matter of faith for him and his belief in the principle of secularism went far and beyond. Despite his royal inheritance, he had taken to the grime of electoral politics with ease, while retaining the mystique of his distinct identity. Modern Gwalior has rapidly evolved as an eminent educational and industrial centre of North India. The hall was previously occupied during the sessions of Rani Durbar headed by Maharani Chinkoo Raje Scindia.
