Scindias originated from Kanherkhed village of satara district of Maharashtra, are the flag bearers and leaders of Hindavi Swaraj created by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Deccan and expanded by Peshwa Baji Rao in North India. Under Mahadji Scindia, the kingdom extended from Lahore in present day Pakistan to Ahmednagar in Maharashtra and from the port town of Bharuch in Gujarat to Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The lineage gallery displays the family ancestry from the origin of the Scindia dynasty to the present day members of the royal family.
